Colin Boyle represents public-sector and private employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters, with an emphasis on labor law, labor relations, and issues arising under the Railway Labor Act.

Colin's practice includes:
Labor relations and negotiations. Colin understands the demands of a rapidly changing workforce and helps employers craft and negotiate pragmatic solutions, whether negotiating collective bargaining agreements or representing management in grievance and arbitration proceedings.
Arbitration and Litigation. Colin is a skilled advocate; whether before an arbitrator, judge or administrative agency, he represents employers in mediation and throughout the hearing process. He also appears before Railway Labor Act boards of adjustment on behalf of covered carriers and provides a strong defense of clients in federal and state courts.
Employment law counsel. Colin advises clients on employment matters and related compliance issues, including hiring, discipline, and discharge, wage and hour disputes, issues regarding Washington Paid Sick Leave (WPSL), Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other laws and regulations. He also advises regarding claims of harassment and discrimination in the workplace.
Clients. Colin’s clients include a variety of public sector entities. He advises cities, counties, universities, fire districts, transportation agencies, and public health districts. He has experience negotiating with the unions representing police, fire, transportation, and other public employees. Colin also advises private employers including railroads, transportation entities, non-profit organizations, hospitality businesses, and automotive companies.
