Summit Stands Against Systemic Racism
Following only 11 hours of deliberation, the jury in State v. Chauvin found Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin guilty on all counts, including second degree murder. While this is a monumental decision, it is still just a single example of accountability. It does not bring George Floyd back to life, nor does it put a stop to systemic racism.
Within each of our communities, we must join together to dismantle the systems that propagate inequity and stand in the way of equal protection under the law. To our Black coworkers, clients, and friends, Summit will continue to work alongside you to bring about lasting change.
