Labor Analyst

Summit Law Group is seeking a Labor Analyst to join our team in the Labor and Employment group. Our expanding Labor Analyst team is searching for a talented colleague to join them and help us grow the section, focusing on collective bargaining and interest arbitration. The attorneys and other members of the team in this practice are predominantly off-site and thrive within teams that are proactive, diligent, and prioritize clear communication and accurate analysis. 

The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the context of collective bargaining. However, candidates that possess the abilities and qualifications below would make an excellent addition to the team. This position reports to our lead Labor Analyst. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and interpret collective bargaining agreements, mine data from numerous, and compare and cost collective bargaining proposals. 
  • Create clear and concise costing models. 
  • Build graphic data presentations to be used in negotiations and arbitrations. 
  • Conduct data analysis that compares collective bargaining strategies. 
  • Assist the lead Labor Analyst in developing innovative internal processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and accuracy throughout the analysis process. 
  • Collaborate with high-level decision makers on data pertaining to collective bargaining and interest arbitration matters. 
  • Analyze and present complex data in simplified and straightforward terms that communicate a specific point to internal and external parties. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in economics/statistics and data analysis. 
  • Ability to problem solve and think critically and creatively.
  • Tech-savvy with high level of proficiency Excel, database development and support, and data visualization tools. 
  • Willingness to learn, a proactive, "run to the fire" approach, and a positive attitude. 
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines, consistent follow-through, and keen attention to detail. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Experience working and communicating with diverse stakeholders. 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

While subject to change, we also provide offices for legal staff, firm-funded HSA accounts, and a dog-friendly firm. 

The salary for this position ranges from $90-110k, depending on experience and skillset, given a minimum of 5 years of experience.
